Monica is a compelling, smoky-voiced alto who has been compared to Norah Jones and Bonnie Raitt in terms of sound and style. She first sang on stage when she was six years old, and hasn't quit since. She studied voice first at UW-SP and then with private teachers, and has sung for crowds all over Wisconsin. She is also the worship leader at Radiant Fellowship church in Waupaca. She is currently with three bands, Uptown, a jazz combo band; Downtown, her classic rock band ranging from Zeppelin to Doobies to Sheryl Crow; and the Justmann Band, a 9-piece horn band that plays swing, rock, and a variety of other traditional music.
